Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that Jon Mellish's red card against Morecambe on Boxing Day has been overturned following a successful claim of wrongful dismissal.
The United defender was shown a straight red card by Scott Oldham after he was deemed to of challenged the Shrimps' midfielder, Tom White, unfairly on 62 minutes.
After submitting the case on Friday morning, the FA reviewed the booking and later confirmed that the red card would be rescinded.
Jon is now eligible for the Blues' next three fixtures against Accrington Stanley, Crewe Alexandra and Tranmere Rovers.
