Carlisle United can confirm that third-year youth scholars Jake Allan and Aran Fitzpatrick have today joined Workington AFC on work-experience loan deals until 31 December 2024.
Both players spent time at Borough Park last season and will join up with Mark Fell’s side ahead of their game against Blyth Spartans tonight.
Caretaker coach Steven Rudd said: “It will be a great experience for them, they’ve both been there before so they know what to expect.
“It’s better for them and their development to go out there and play men’s football rather than play in youth team games. They’ll get more from playing against men in front of crowds.
“They’ve both done well here during pre-season and got a taste of the Bristol Street Motors game last week, but this is the next step in their development.
“We hope they go out there and do well so when they come back to us they are ready to kick on again.”
