GREEN FOOTBALL GAME THIS WEEKEND

.

This Saturdays fixture against Bromley will be our dedicated ‘Green Football Game’, brought to you in collaboration with Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS).

This season, we’re supporting Green Football’s Great Save to stop kit from going to waste. The Great Save initiative runs from 11 March to 2 April, with the goal of bringing together fans, clubs, and communities to combat the climate crisis and safeguard football’s future.

Every year, an estimated 100,000 tonnes of sportswear ends up in UK landfills. By donating, selling, or simply keeping your sports gear in play for longer, could reduce its carbon, water, and waste footprint by up to 30%.

Kit donation points will be located in the East Stand Ticket Office and Blues Store from Thursday and the Study Centre will be open on matchday. Each kit donation will also help Carlisle United score green goals for the 2025 Green Football Cup. You can score additional green goals by making pledges to reduce your environmental footprint.

Remember to tell Green Football you’ve donated your kit at greenfootball.org or by using the QR code at the kit donation sites. This will enter you into a prize draw with exciting prizes, including:

• 12 months of free Sky Sports

• Tickets to the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final

• A signed 2023/24 Lionesses shirt.
