“It has shown that when a business and a professional delivery partner come together, they can make a real difference in their community. Natasha Messier, Niall McNulty and the staff at Komatsu deserve all the credit for the brilliant work that has taken place.
“This bespoke project has not only educated the local primary school kids but has given them first-hand practical experience at Komatsu.”
Komatsu Forest Managing Director, Stephen Bellas added: “Komatsu Forest Ltd was honoured to be invited to the Northwest Football Awards night by our Climate Heroes partner, Carlisle United Community Sports Trust.
“This award celebrates the dedication and effort of both the Komatsu and CST staff involved in the project. What started as a simple idea has blossomed, with over 400 local schoolchildren taking part in the six-week program and we envision this number soaring to nearly 1,000 by the end of the next academic year.
“I am immensely proud of everyone involved, especially the Komatsu team, which skilfully balances regular work with school visits. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the schoolchildren and teachers who have poured their energy into making this project a remarkable success."
