CLUB AND COMMUNITY TRUST TO SUPPORT BABY LOSS AWARENESS WEEK

SILENT FOOTPRINTS

Carlisle United Football Club and Community Sports Trust are pleased to support Baby Loss Awareness Week.

Teresa Mulholland, EDI lead for CUFC and CST, has been working with the Silent Footprints Foundation to support their baby loss awareness week.

Ribbons are available from the Blues Store and Claire's Bakery for anyone who wishes to commemorate a baby loss. Ribbons can then be tied on the arch of the club’s memorial garden towards the rear of the stadium. Fabric pens are also available should you wish to add your child’s name on the ribbon.

Members of Silent Footprints will be joining us for the Wigan Athletic game at Brunton Park on Tuesday 8 October.

If you require any further information, please contact CUFC EDI lead Teresa Mulholland on edi@carlisleunited.co.uk

Silent Footprints Foundation offer a place of support for those who have suffered from pregnancy loss at any stage including miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, medical termination and infant loss. They run support sessions once a month at Carlisle Eden Mind. Further information can be found on the website HERE.

Teresa Mulholland said: "I first met Jenn and Gale at the Diverse Cumbria Awards this year and we have built up a great support network since.

"A huge thank you to the club for providing access to the memorial garden for the ribbons to be tied on. Also huge thank you to Stef in the CUFC club shop and the staff at Claire's Bakery for supporting the event by providing the opportunity for ribbons to be collected from their establishments.

"The ribbons are free however if anyone would like to leave a donation for Silent Footprints that would be greatly appreciated."

Gail and Jenn, founders of the Silent Footprints Foundation said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Carlisle United for supporting our Baby Loss Awareness week and providing the community an opportunity to tie their ribbons in their memorial garden.

"We are looking forward to attending the match on Tuesday."
