We spoke to attacker Anton Dudik for the first time following training today.
"I joined the club in January and I'm happy that the coaching staff and the management gave me this opportunity.
"I'm so happy to be here and thank you to everyone that helped me.
"It's been difficult for me because you leave your home and don’t know what will happen next, my country [is] now living in a different time.
"There has been a lot of pain and suffering, but here, I found a new home. And thank you to Carlisle for giving me everything in professional football. Some of my family are still over in Ukraine but I can see some of my family, so it’s okay.
"I feel a lot [more] developed as a footballer, because I train with a lot of experienced players and qualified coaches, which I think is going to help me.
"Everyone was very good when I first arrived, everyone likes me I think!"
The young forward made his Brunton Park debut in February.
"It was a very special moment to wear a Carlisle kit and make my debut for Carlisle and in professional football. I'm so happy that it happened.
"Thank you to the coaches for giving me a chance to stay here for another season, and I think I’ll show my best and continue to improve."
