Earlier this week, club Chairman Tom Piatak visited the University of Cumbria campus on Brampton Road.
Tom was able to see items from the club memorabilia collection, which has been collated by fans as part of the upcoming exhibition at Tullie House - read more about this HERE.
Our Chairman viewed a collection of programmes going back to pre-war times, whilst also seeing replica shirts from over the last 40 years.
He met members of the archiving team from CUSG (Carlisle United Supporters' Groups) and was hosted by Supporter Liaison Officer, Simon Clarkson.
It was a great insight for Tom to start to get to see some of the heritage of the club.
Simon Clarkson said: "The Carlisle United collective group of volunteers have been significantly expanded and they are putting in long hours to sift through the huge volume of material donated.
"Having Tom drop in to chat and meet some of the group, gave them a huge boost. His passion for celebrating the heritage of the club came over very strongly.
"We are very excited about the exhibition and everything else that will follow.”
Tom Piatak added: "It was great to come and see all the collection first-hand.
"To see the heritage of the club being gathered together is absolutely fantastic and there is some great pieces of archived material.
"When the exhibition goes live, I'm sure it will be a real draw for fans and other members of the community - its a great source of pride to us all.
"Brilliant work is being undertaken by the club's fans, members of the University of Cumbria and other partners in the project."
