This weekend, Carlisle United face in-form Mancunian Unity at The Vestacare Stadium.
A week on from their Cumberland County Cup semi-final exit at the hands of Cumbrian rivals Penrith AFC Ladies, Carlisle are looking to become the first team to beat this weekend’s hosts.
Mancunian Unity, who sit top of the division, were victorious last weekend when they ran out 7-0 winners against Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies Reserves with Ella Barnes, Megan Cardenas (x2), Jess Bamber (x3) and Liv Shaw scoring in an impressive win for the leaders.
Six wins in their last six games in the division, have seen them stay unbeaten in the league this term.
Last Time We Met
Mancunian Unity travelled to Creighton on 28 January 2024 and won 6-1.
The visitors took the lead on 12 minutes through Megan Cardenas, before Kerri Mallinson equalised for United two minutes later.
After going into the break level, Unity then took charge in the second-half with goals coming from Ellis Siddle (52'), Kaitland Harter (68'), Megan Cardenas (78'), Emily Howarth (89') and Jess Bamber (90').
