Yesterday, we caught up with Tom Piatak II, who provided us with an update off the pitch.
“It’s been a great experience so far. Obviously on the pitch we can hope for some better results, but overall we’ve been really enjoying our time in Carlisle, delving into the community and the club and we’re looking forward to the future and the plans we have coming up.”
When asked about the aims for the East Stand, he said: “It’s progressing well, the plans have all been submitted, we’re just waiting on the finalised approval to come in.
“We’re hoping to have things finalised and [have] quotes in by March and hopefully begin working in April, which is the target date.”
The club is also planning work on the Warwick Road End.
“I noticed that a couple of fans noticed quickly that on Companies House there were some additions made by the club back there on that side, and we do have plans to renovate, build it out and have a little Fan Zone behind the Warwick Road End that adds to the concessions over there and is easier access.”
Speaking on the addition of a permanent big screen in the Fan Zone, he added: “It’s been ordered, it should be shipping, we’ll see how long that takes, but the one we have right now is temporary and great, but it’ll be good to have that permanent one there, which will be there from here on out and to have it in time for the Euro’s would be a massive plus.
“It’ll be a great place for people to come together, to watch and hopefully see the Three Lions win.
“The LED boards, they’re close to being here, I don’t think they’ll be installed until next season just due to timing wise, so that will be a good addition to the stadium.
“The Neil Centre, just a little rehab, a little modernisation for it and using it a little bit with the Academy to give them some space in there will be a nice touch for them as well.”
When asked about the progress of the training ground, Tom said: “We think they’re going well, we’ve certainly got our preferred site, it’s been submitted to the council, we’re just waiting to get the finalised details on that.
“As soon as we do hear, we’re ready to go on it.”
