Jack Armer spoke to us ahead of this weekend’s #OneCarlisleOneCommunity fixture against Stevenage.
The defender said: “Obviously results of late haven’t been good, well, all season really.
“We just have to try and finish the season as strongly as possible.
“They came up with us last year and they’ve done alright this year, just outside the play-offs, but we still need to go and try and win as many games as possible.
“We’ve not really done much work over them yet, but we know the way they play, they’ve played the same way for years now.
“If we can get the ball down and pass, there is plenty of space to play against them.”
When asked about our previous game against Shrewsbury, he added: “I think the quality of the game was pretty low, I think we all know that, but I don’t think they had many clear-cut chances and I know Sam [Lavelle] missed a couple.
“I think it just comes down to that little bit of quality in the final third and clearing it up in our defensive third.”
On Saturday, we host our #OneCarlisleOneCommunity fixture, allowing supporters to back the Blues at a discounted rate - further details can be found online.
When asked about the supporters throughout the season, Armer said: “When we’re playing well and the fans get behind us, it does give you a lift.
“It’s our job to play well enough, which we haven’t done this year.
“Hopefully on Saturday, if we get a result and start the game well, it will lift the fans a little bit.
“A win would be nice, it doesn't always go like that, but I think we just have to do what we can do in the changing room.
“The changing room is better than how we’ve played this year and we just need to give ourselves a chance at winning the game.”
