Manager Paul Simpson gave us an injury update ahead of Saturday’s game against Portsmouth.
“We’re hopeful Jack Diamond is going to be available to train at the end of the week and be involved on Saturday,” he said. “There’s definitely been improvement over the week.
“He’s confident that he’ll be right for the weekend if everything goes well between now and the team sheet going in. He took a whack and it all locked around him but we’re hopeful he’ll be fine.
“Jack Robinson picked up a similar injury on Saturday, but we think he’ll also be available for Saturday. Josh Emmanuel has had another week of training so he’s closer.
“Josh Kayode has started to do some work out on the grass but he won’t be ready for this weekend, we’re probably looking at the end of the month for him being back.
“I think Georgie is probably a week and a half or two weeks away as well, but I knew that when we brought him in. He’s been brought into the club for the next few years so we aren’t going to be silly with him. I want him available, but we’ve just got to be patient with him.
“Callum is doing really well, he went to see the surgeon at the start of this week and they were happy with how he’s getting on.”
