As we head into the second half of the season, we would like to take a moment to reflect on those we have lost over the course of the last six-months, with us having remembered players, supporters, former members of staff, or people connected with the club, with our match day In Memoriam Roll of Remembrance tribute, at the beginning and middle of each of the last three seasons.
At the Portsmouth home game (Saturday 10 February 2023) we will be holding a minute of applause ahead of kick off as the names (and accompanying pictures, if requested) of all those we wish to remember are shown on the club’s big screen.
Our loved ones will also feature in the In Memoriam section of the website, which will be updated after that game, and in the match day publication on that day.
The club invites supporters to submit the names of any fan or other person connected to the club who they would like to be remembered in this moment of reflection, and on the official website – accompanying images (in jpeg format) are welcome.
If you wish to add a message of love and respect, this will appear on the official website only so that all names and images submitted can be included during the match day minute of applause.
All names received will be added to those of the former players and staff who have passed away during this period and will be displayed together as part of the Big Screen Roll of Remembrance.
Please email the details of the person you would like to be remembered and an image if required to media@carlisleunited.co.uk – closing date for messages to be included will be 5pm on Sunday 4 February 2024.
Previous names and images received will not be included - if you wish to include someone in the Roll of Remembrance, you will need to send an email to the above address before the closing date.
A reply will be sent to all emals once the deadline has passed to confirm that the name and image has been received.
Our thoughts and condolences are, as ever, with anyone who has lost a family member or loved one.
