The heavy rain meant that United's home game was switched to Preston this morning, and it was the home side who took advantage of that decision.
"We just weren't at it at all," youth boss Mark Birch said. "We had four under-16s on the pitch because of overnight illnesses, but that's no excuse.
"We just didn't get ourselves going at all, and that's disappointing."
