United play a confident Burton side tonight who come into the game off the back of a 4-1 home victory over Bristol Rovers.
“We have to do it right,” manager Paul Simpson said. “It’s going to be a tough game because they’re a good side. They’re an established side, maybe a little bit of a yoyo side between the Championship and League One.
“It’s going to be a tough game for us and it will be physical. I hope the Bristol Rovers game was a demanding one for them.
“We’ve played well against Portsmouth, we’ve got to go and do it properly at home now. We’ve got to get the disappointment of Saturday out of our system.
“I’m quite sure once the game comes around everybody will be doing what they can to make it a positive night for us.
“We can’t change what happened at the weekend, I wish we could, because we deserved something out of it.
“But football doesn’t work that way unfortunately. If we can do it properly at home and get ourselves a result, it gets us going again.
“We’ve had two 1-0 league defeats, which have been different types of defeats, but the same zero points out of it. We want to try and change that as quickly as we can.”
