The Blues play the second of their EFL Group C games tonight with the Nottingham Forest U21 side our visitors.
Forest lost 2-1 at Harrogate in their first outing, with the Blues suffering a 1-0 defeat at Accrington on the same day.
“It’s our next game and it’s one we want to do well in,” manager Paul Simpson said. “There will be changes, obviously staying within the rules of the competition.
“It’s a chance to freshen things up from Saturday because we had a few lads complaining of cramp and stiffening up.
“Some who played on Saturday will have to go again, but we’ll be fine, and we’ll go out there to make sure we put on a proper performance and keep the momentum going.
“Whoever plays, it’s the same as any other game. People will be out there to show what they can do.”
“Fin won’t be able to play,” he added. “With him being a loan player from Forest we won’t plan on him being involved.
“We know we have to win if we want to give ourselves a chance of progressing, so that’s what the work will be towards.
“We’ve seen before against U21 sides that they know each other, they can pass the ball and they have energy, so there’s no doubt that we need to do everything in the right way.”
