Manager Paul Simpson offered an update on Paul Huntington after the club captain was forced off through injury in the defeat to Bristol Rovers.
The centre back was withdrawn just before half-time and Simpson confirmed that the injury was a recurrence of the calf problem that saw him sidelined earlier this season.
"He's done his calf again," he said.
"I don't know how bad it is. He's done all of the training and been back in for however long now and back into it."
"The only thing I know is when he came off he said it was the same thing, that is all I got off him," added Simpson.
"He was obviously disappointed. I’m very disappointed in that. Unfortunately it’s a similar thing I had when I was Hunts’ age, it was the calf that kept going, it’s the nature of the physicality when you get to that age.
"We’ll see how he is on Monday. I might get a better idea when I go in now. I think that’s one disappointment on top of other disappointments we’ve had today."
Simpson also confirmed that he looks set to be without loanee Fin Back for an extended period - with a timescale for his injury set to come this week.
"It looks like it’s a small tear in his rec fem in the quad muscle," he explained.
"We’re waiting this week to get a definitive answer but we think we’re talking months as opposed to weeks. So it’s not a good one. It doesn’t need surgery, but we’ll get more of an idea probably next week on that one."
United were also without Corey Whelan for much of the week, but he was named on the bench for the visit of the Gas, after missing much of the build-up to the fixture.
"Corey Whelan hasn't trained since Tuesday because he's had a sickness virus," said Simpson.
"I asked him to come in today but he's done no training and has been throwing up since Tuesday evening.
"I couldn't risk putting Corey in that early so I had to change the shape, and I thought Mells in midfield was actually causing issues with his running so it's disappointing that we had to change that.
"We'll have to see how Hunts is but it's one of the disappointing things we've had over this week with injuries."
