Blues fans helped Norwegian couple Paul Meier and Bente Nedland celebrate their wedding.
The pair made a spur of the moment decision to honeymoon in Carlisle after marrying last week.
Paal, who is treasurer of the Blues Norwegian branch and editor of football fanzine, the Cumbrian Norsemen, wanted to attend the promotion clash against Salford along with his new wife.
Unfortunately, the Blues were unable to present them with three points but Paal, who also sponsors the match ball plinth, and Bente had their photo taken with CUOSC directors beside their Fanzone kiosk and on the Brunton Park pitch before the game.
The trip cost over £1,000 for the flights but they had no regrets.
Paal said: “Bente and I have been together for 17 years so we decided to make it official.
“It was a spontaneous decision after the wedding to come to the game.
“It was a shame about the result but we still enjoyed the match, had a great time and met up with some good friends.
“Hopefully, we will be at another Carlisle game this season – the play-off final at Wembley.”
