It was an evening kick off in the north east for the U18s for their latest friendly fixture.
And a young side, which included a number of under-16 players, found it to be a great learning experience against a very good side.
"They just had too much for us on the night," youth boss Mark Birch said. "To be fair, the lads kept going and, yet again, they'll have got a lot out of it.
"As we keep saying, it isn't about results in games like this. It's about getting match ready and introducing our players to things they might not see every week once the league season starts."
