Midfielder Owen Moxon was substituted as a precaution during the half-time break at Borough Park last Saturday and manager Paul Simpson confirmed that it’s still a case of being careful, with him having missed out on the Tuesday friendly against Livingston as he continues with his recovery.
The playmaker bagged six goals in 54 appearances through his first season with the club last term, and was looking lively once again until he complained of a bit of tightness during the Workington outing.
“Mox felt something at the weekend, and we think it’s a bit of a neural issue,” the gaffer explained. “He has something coming from his back which is affecting his hip flexor, so we’re just managing him to make sure he gets through it.
“He’s been a little bit better today [Tuesday] and he didn’t train on Monday. We’ll assess him as we’re going along but we aren’t thinking that it’s a major issue.
“We just have to be really careful with it at this point."
