United’s trialist keeper Dan Langley got another 60 minutes with the Blues at Borough Park on Saturday afternoon, having spent the last three weeks with the club through the pre-season build up.
Assistant manager Gav Skelton confirmed after the Workington game that the 22-year-old will be with the squad when they head north of the border next week.
“He’ll come with us to Scotland,” he confirmed. “We’re still looking at him, that’s an ongoing situation.
“It’s difficult because he hasn’t really been tested in the friendly games we’ve had so far. He’s looked tidy in everything he’s done, and his application has been good.
“He’s trained really well, he’s done things properly, but we do want to have a really good look at him.”
Meanwhile he also confirmed that the striker, who netted at Annan, has moved on from his summer spell at Brunton Park.
“He’s probably moved on,” he told us. “He picked up a little bit of an injury, but he’s looking at different options, and that’s the same for us.
“I would say he won’t be coming with us next week.”
