Our U9, U10, U11, U12, U13 and U14 teams took part in the EFL North West Festivals last week.
Lead youth development phase coach John Foley said: "The U9 team travelled to Oldham for their first tournament at academy level and enjoyed every minute of it.
"The U10s went to Blackpool where there were a few quirky rules in place, they made the lads think about the game and also encouraged team building, which was a valuable lesson.
"We hosted the U11 tournament at Penrith and the lads ended up winning it after losing the first game, which we were really pleased with.
"The U12s went down to Rochdale and played a mixture of games, including two at the same time where the scores were combined, but won all five of them which, meant we also won that tournament.
"The U13s had a long trip down to Port Vale and competed in some tough games.
"Our U14s group travelled down to Morecambe and won all four of their games, which meant they won the tournament, including some which were 11v11 and some which were 7v7m which was a good learning exercise for the lads.
"We were pleased with how all of the lads conducted themselves on the day and we hope they all enjoyed their experiences."
