We spoke to manager Paul Simpson ahead of tonight’s trip to Wigan.
“There are lots of games left for us to address it and we’ve got to do it as soon as we can.
“We’ve got to go to Wigan and try to put on a performance similar to the one we put on at Fleetwood.
“We’ll try and get some energy back into the players, but Wigan are in the same position as us, they’ve had the same amount of games as us and they had a tough game at home against Derby on Boxing Day. It’s a game we’ve just got to be prepared for.
“They’re all big games for us because we’ve gone bottom of the league. We’ve got lots coming.
“We’ve got to get ourselves through to January where Luke Armstrong is available for the Exeter game so he will be another player to add to the group.
“We can’t ignore it, we’ve known for weeks we’re in trouble, simple as that. We’re just trying to hang in there, to get through to January, when hopefully we’re able to strengthen.
“By strengthening the group we’ll allow the ones who are here to stand up even more.”
With over 4,000 away tickets now sold, the manager once again praised the travelling support: “To get 4,000 fans is absolutely fantastic.
“It was the same at Fleetwood, and we’ve got to perform like we did there, maybe go even better, be more clinical, and if we can do that we can make it another good away day.”
