As part of the Academy's life skills programme during the October half-term break, under 14 and 15 players from the academy enjoyed a team building day at GoApe, Whinlatter Forest.
It involved navigating challenging treetop crossings and zip-wiring through the forest.
Under 15 player Finn Matthews said: "The day was fun, and it was good to be with the boys outside of our normal football training."
Under 14 player John Kavourides said: “It was a good experience, and good bonding with those who went."
Academy Manager Simon Friel said: “It was great to see the boys be able to work together as a team and encourage one another over a challenging treetop course.
"Some of the boys had a fear of heights but pushed themselves outside their comfort zone and overcame their fear with the support of their teammates.
"Thanks to Go Ape for hosting the Academy lads and to the club for providing this opportunity for the boys.”
This team building activity was part of the Academy life skills programme that aims to support holistic development.
