PREVIEW: Fleetwood

Carlisle United v Fleetwood Town, Saturday 5 August, ko 3pm

Fleetwood were steady away in League One last season, with 14 wins, 16 draws and 16 defeats leaving them with a mid-table finish.

It's not for us to comment on the off-field stuff, but it's been a tough couple of months for the Cod Army.

All of that aside midfielders Ryan Broom and Danny Mayor were the first summer captures on two-year deals, and they were followed by Celtic full-back Adam Montgomery, who arrived on a season-long loan.

Defender Harrison Holgate extended his stay with the club for a further two years, having played 25 games last season, and former Derry winger Ryan Graydon also entered the building on a similar length of contract.

Boss Scott Brown also committed his future to the club until the summer 2025. The 38-year-old former Celtic captain took over at Highbury last summer for his first role in management.

We're sitting on the fence this weekend - with little way of guaranteeing who will start.

It's going to be interesting, whoever is selected, and, of course, it's always about us.
