Carlisle United's Academy goal of the month for September - [with the trophy sponsored by Carlisle United Supporters' Club London Branch] - was handed to winner James Jenkins from our U11's this week.
Youth Development Phase Coach John Foley said: “This month's winner is James Jenkins from our U11s, pictured here with coach Conor Cooke.
"James pounced quickly on a rebound after good work from Matty Hodgson down the left wing, who was unfortunate not to score himself.
"Congratulations to James and commiserations to the other players who all scored great goals as well."
The monthly award is sponsored by the London Branch and chair Dave Brown explained why backing the academy is so important.
"Our young players are not only from within our own community but can become future first-team players," he said.
"To acknowledge scoring great goals with a monthly award adds an extra incentive for the boys and is something we are proud to support."
