Carlisle United’s media department received yet another huge boost recently from CUSC London Branch as they once again provided full sponsorship of brand-new camera and audio equipment.
The Branch very kindly funded the state-of-the-art camera which allowed the club to maximise its streaming and iFollow coverage back in 2015.
With advancements in both equipment and software, they were quick to step up the plate again with the purchase of two 4K capable pro standard cameras (complete with accompanying tripod) to make sure that the quality of the output remains at a high standard.
Running at a cost of just under £3,000, CUSC London Branch ordered and delivered the items to a delighted media department at the end of February.
London Branch chair Dave Brown said: “Our fundraising efforts are always focussed on projects that will benefit the fans.
“Our members, spread all over the world, are appreciative of the fantastic video content produced by the club.
“When we heard that new equipment would enhance the quality of the content, it seemed obvious that we should offer to fund it.
“We are proud to strengthen our relationship and look forward to seeing some United goals on the Pitchside Blues clips.”
Media officer Amy Nixon said: “We were noticing a distinctive difference in the quality of the videos we were able to produce compared to some other clubs, and some fans were commenting about that issue as well.
“The London Branch were absolutely superb. We had the new items within a week of making the initial request.
“The difference is immediately noticeable, which matters, and we can’t thank the branch enough for the help they’ve given us.
"We're now producing high quality footage for all of our social media channels, as well as YouTube, which is another excellent step forward for the club.”
The purchase of the camera equipment is just part of an ongoing sponsorship process, with more news to follow on the work the London Branch are doing with the club’s academy this season.
