COMMERCIAL: A really enjoyable morning

Carlisle United Football Club held a business breakfast event at Foxy’s Restaurant on Thursday (23 June) to coincide with the launch of the 2022/23 season fixture list.

The attendance was the highest since the #FixtureReleaseDay format was introduced as a business event.

Existing commercial supporters were joined by a host of new businesses in what was a great kick-off to the new season.

First-team manager Paul Simpson gave his immediate reaction to the schedule and outlined his plans for pre-season, along with his hopes for the season ahead.

There was an exclusive reveal of the new ERREA home and away kits [sponsored for the first time by Bimson Haulage] with Tomas Holy, Gabriel Breeze and Owen Moxon joined by new signing Ryan Edmondson [exclusively revealed that morning], as players were on-hand to do the modelling.

Story Homes was also revealed as the new back of shirt sponsor.

The new commercial team and retail manager were introduced for the first time.

Also new in-post, retail manager Stef McLean said: “The event was part of the build-up to the overall kit launch weekend.

“It was great to reveal the kit and see the reaction to it for the first time. It has been received superbly well so far with record-breaking sales through the opening weekend. That’s been fantastic to see.”

Another new face - Kerry Evans – organised the event in her capacity as the club’s commercial assistant.

“This was a very enjoyable morning of activities,” she said. “The turnout was really good and I was so pleased that everything went well.

“It offered the opportunity for the local business community to get together and meet up again for the first time this season, at the same time as seeing the new fixture list, new signings and getting the manager’s views on the season ahead.

“Now the fixture list has been revealed, match hospitality and sponsorship packages are selling very fast and places are filling up really quickly.

“If you’re interested in booking hospitality or sponsorship packages with us send an email to commercial@carlisleunited.co.uk for more details.”

Commercial sales manager Debbie Huddart was also introduced to the guests having just joined the club ahead of the event. She was joined by Martyn Vevers, who continues as commercial assistant alongside Kerry.
