The under-18s were in Glasgow on Friday afternoon as they continued with their week of friendly fixture against Scottish opposition.
United took the lead through Romeo Park but it was 1-1 as the teams went into the break.
The workrate remained high, but the hosts capitalised as the visitors started to tire late in the game.
