As we head into a new season we would like to take a moment to reflect on those loved ones and friends we have lost over the course of the last six months, with our match day In Memoriam Roll of Remembrance set to appear in the programme, online and on the big screen when we face Crawley Town on Saturday 30 July.
In addition, we’ll be holding a minute of applause ahead of kick-off on the day to coincide with the displaying of the names (and accompanying pictures, if requested) of all those we wish to remember.
Our loved ones will also feature in the In Memoriam section of the website, which will be updated after that game.
The club invites supporters to submit the names of any fan or other person connected to the club who they would like to be remembered in this moment of reflection, and on the official website – accompanying images (in jpeg format) are welcome.
If you wish to add a message of love and respect, this will appear on the official website only so that all names and images submitted can be included during the match day minute of applause.
All names received will be added to those of the former players and staff who have passed away during this period and will be displayed together as part of the Big Screen Roll of Remembrance.
Please email the details of the person you would like to be remembered to media@carlisleunited.co.uk – closing date for messages will be 5pm on Wednesday 20 July 2022.
Our thoughts and condolences are, as ever, with anyone who has lost a family member or loved one.
