CUOSC are holding a Christmas Foodbank collection before the home game with Bradford on Saturday 8 January.
In conjunction with the club, we are striving to make things a little better for those less fortunate in our community.
Everything collected will be handed over to Carlisle Foodbank whose aim is to provide three days of emergency food for people in crisis, who have been identified and referred by agencies working in the community.
Every donation of tinned or long-life food - no matter how big or small - is valuable but the Foodbank is always in need of UHT or powdered milk.
Also toiletries, nappies, baby wipes and household cleaning products would be appreciated.
Our previous collections have always been well supported and we are hoping this one will be no different.
The collection point will be the CUOSC supporters’ surgery in the Study Centre, next to the Blues Store between 1.30pm and 2.30pm on the day of the Bradford City home game (8 January, kick off 3pm).
Fans can also drop off items at the club’s Pioneer ticket office during working hours of the week leading up to the game.
Items welcome include: Milk (UHT or powdered), Small Sugar (500g), Long Life Fruit Juice (carton), Packet Soup, Pasta Sauces (tin, jar or packet), Sponge Pudding (tinned), Custard (tinned or packet instant),Tomatoes, (tinned), Cereals, Rice Pudding (tinned), Small Box Tea Bags/Small Instant Coffee, Instant Mashed Potato, Rice, Tinned Meat/Fish, Tinned Fruit and Vegetables, Tinned Spaghetti, Tinned Ravioli, Jam/Marmalade, Biscuits or Snack Bars, Pot Noodles, Toiletries such as toilet roll, deodorant, shampoo, soap, nappies, baby wipes and household cleaning products.
