Carlisle United Supporters’ Groups (CUSG) have completed the draw for their Christmas raffle with 20 prizes that were donated by local businesses.
The proceeds of more than £2,500 will go towards fan related projects.
Terry McCarthy, a CUSG representative, coordinated the raffle and praised local businesses who stepped up to donate prizes.
“Given the tough economic climate, the response was fantastic,” he said. “Almost every call we made resulted in a positive response.
“There was a real willingness to support the initiative having seen the type of projects CUSG have delivered previously. We will consider further fan related projects to use the proceeds with.”

Tickets were sold from the Blues Store and ticket office, but home games saw a different approach.
“We had two home league games in December, and we had fans reps all around Brunton Park selling the tickets,” Terry explained.
“Our fans dug deep and helped us raise a good amount. We will be calling all the winners and arranging for them to get their prizes.“
