On 23 November Teresa Mulholland & Natasha Messier from the Community Sports Trust went along to Caledonia Park along with Lulu and Joan from Oak Tree Animals' Charity to wrap Christmas presents for the Parks Santa’s Grotto.
For each present wrapped, Caledonia Park donated £1 to Oak Tree, and on the day an impressive 324 books were wrapped, therefore raising £324!
Across the whole event, a total amount of £800 was raised helping to make a huge difference to the lives of animals this Christmas.
Teresa Mulholland, CST assistant manager, said: "It was a pleasure to support such a worthy cause and meet Lulu and Joan.
"What a wonderful Christmas atmosphere, wrapping presents ready for Santa to hand out in the park's Christmas Grotto!"
Caroline Johnson General Manager-Oak Tree Animals' Charity said: "A huge thank you to you for taking part in the wrapping fundraiser at Gretna Gateway.
"We were so grateful for your support and we raised over £800! It was certainly a challenging task, given how tight the paper template was, but your patience and wrapping talents will help us make a huge difference to the lives of animals this Christmas.
"Thank you so much!"
