United kicked off their season with the journey down the M6 to face Walsall, with the North West Youth Alliance Division now in full-flow.
With a 6am start and a near five-hour journey they could have been forgiven for a sluggish performance, but that was far from the case.
Nic Bollado built on a strong start from the Blues with a goal on the half hour, and Kai Nugent added a second just before the break.
Mason Hardy then turned the screw with a third, and the team dominated as they saw the game through.
"The lads were outstanding, we're really pleased with them," youth boss Mark Birch said. "The work rate was superb, they started at a high tempo and then built off it with some really good passages of play.
"They deserved their goals from the way they approached the game, particularly after the long journey and early start, and it's a great way for them to kick the season off."
