Our Wigton soccer school attendees rounded off another great week last week with a surprise visit from first-team player Taylor Charters on Friday afternoon.
Taylor popped along to hand out the medals, certificates and prizes as the boys and girls brought a close to a fun week of activities.
CST manager John Halpin said: “I say this a lot, but it’s fantastic for the children when the players take time out of their day to come along to meet them.
“It’s great for them to see a first-team player take an interest and they were all really excited to get their medals and certificates off Taylor.
“I’d like to thank him for coming to see us and for the way he took time to speak to many of the youngsters who were there.”
“I always enjoy coming to the soccer schools,” Taylor said. “You can see that everybody has had a great time and it’s good to talk to them about how they played, and who they all support.
“Seeing the smiles and laughter is what it’s all about.”
