United were away at Oldham on Saturday morning for a windswept and rain soaked league encounter.
And they recorded their sixth consecutive league win courtesy of goals from Nic Bollado and Charlie Watt to tighten their grip on top spot.
"We were below par and we deservedly went into the break a goal down," youth boss Mark Birch said. "Oldham were sharper than we were, so we had a talk about at it at half time and we looked a completely different side when the game restarted.
"Nic Bollado equalised for us and the lads pushed on from there. Charlie Watt got the winner from the penalty spot and it was good to see the way the lads responded to what had been a disappointing first 45 minutes."
