The team over at Harrogate Spring Water have been unsung heroes for the Blues over recent seasons with the distinctive 330ml bottles now part of every home and away match day, keeping the players hydrated and rehydrated every step of the way.
An already good working relationship with one of the country’s top brands of bottled water was strengthened three summers ago when searing heat made the provision of water for the club’s players a priority during what was a punishing pre-season schedule.
Michael Brown, head of buying at club sponsor Pioneer Foodservice, took up the challenge of sourcing the requirements and he was delighted to report back that a whopping 8,100 litres was heading our way directly from the Original Spa Town.
The bond between the two major brands developed and strengthened, with Harrogate Spring Water becoming the club’s main bottled water supplier the following season.
And we are delighted to confirm that Harrogate Spring Water will be the club’s bottled water source once again for the 2021/22 campaign.
Club chairman Andrew Jenkins said: “Harrogate Spring Water have helped us out on a number of occasions and we’re delighted that they are going to be our bottled water supplier once again next season.
“They are an extremely flexible company who understand the ever-changing needs of a football club, which is extremely important. They are reliable, friendly and have a really proactive approach to everything they are asked to do.
“Michael at Pioneer has built up a good relationship with them over the years and we’re delighted that we’ve been able to transfer that level of trust over to the football club.
“I’d like to thank them for helping us again this season, it really is appreciated.”
