United boss Chris Beech confirmed at the weekend that Dean Furman and JJ Kayode could both be international absentees this week with the pair having been called up for South Africa and Ireland respectively.
“Even though Josh is currently injured they still want to see him,” he told us. “As far as he knows he will touch base with his international mates on Monday to get assessed on the ankle that’s currently still injured.
“Whether they feel it’s right to try and get him right for their game, we’ve advised what we think, and we have to wait and see what they now do.
“With Dean, it’s down to personal choice for him, if he goes.”
