The fixtures are out, and it's been confirmed that United will kick their 2021/22 campaign off with a home game against the U's of Colchester United.
The Essex-based outfit head north on Saturday 7 August, and they'll be looking for a much more stress free season, having left it late to confirm their League Two status last time round.
Our first away game, the following Saturday, is to Swindon Town. The Robins, now managed by former Colchester boss John McGreal, were relegated from League One in May.
The last weekend game in August takes the Blue Army to Hartlepool (we hope - pending virus restrictions being lifted) with the healthy revival rekindled following their success in the National League promotion play-off final against Torquay.
A first-ever meeting with Sutton United comes on Saturday 25 September. The Blues head to the Borough Sports Ground to meet the league newcomers with them having made the historical step up into the EFL having stormed their way to the National League title last term.
They will return the favour when they head to Brunton Park at the end of January (Saturday 29).
Tuesday night home fixtures include Harrogate in November (23), Port Vale in February (8) and Newport in March (15).
The midweek away trips take us to Port Vale in August (17), Newport in October (19) and Mansfield in December (7).
Derby-day encounters with Barrow bring them to us on Saturday 13 November, with the trip to the south of the county scheduled for Saturday 19 March.
Getting us in the festive mood will be Rochdale at home on Boxing Day, followed by a journey to Salford on Wednesday 29 December and another away game, this time at Scunthorpe, to kick off the New Year (1 January).
Good Friday takes us to Walsall (15 April) with Mansfield coming our way on Easter Monday (18 April).
Our last home game is against Stevenage on Saturday 30 April, and the season closes off with an away trip to Valley Parade to face Bradford City on Saturday 7 May.
