The partnership between Carlisle United Football Club and Rickerby Ltd is set to hit a massive 25-year landmark with the iconic local company having agreed a further two seasons of pitch sponsorship for 20/21 and 21/22.
Their support this season comes in the form of an Iseki TLE3400 Hydro Tractor fitted with a power loader, and a Jacobsen TR 320 Triple Fine Turf Mower.
These machines will assist stadium manager Dave Mitchell in maintaining the pitch at Brunton Park, and with the work he does on the training facilities at the club, across the city and in Penrith.
The tractor is used to power the aeration machinery and to help to handle the weather covers, whenever they need to be deployed, and the Jacobsen Tr320 is a new model from the Jacobsen range which is designed to cut sports pitches and high profile grass areas.
Dave Mitchell said: “Our relationship with Rickerby Ltd is fantastic. They’ve supplied us with some incredible machinery over the years, and they’re always there to help beyond what we would expect them to do.
“They’re huge fans of the club and I’d like to thank Martyn Henderson and Alistair McRobert for the bond they’ve built with us over the years.
“25 years is superb and hopefully it will continue for many years to come.”
Alistair McRobert, Horticulture Sales Manager at Rickerby said: “We are delighted to continue this long-standing partnership with Carlisle United and with their stadium manager Dave Mitchell.
“We wish the club every success in the future.”
The Jacobsen Mower is built in Britain in their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ipswich.
Jacobsen is part of the Ransomes Jacobsen group of brands of which Rickerby Ltd is one of the oldest dealers in the UK.
Rickerby Horticulture is a standalone division of Rickerby Ltd which offers a dedicated team of personnel with years of experience in the sales, service and parts support to their loyal customers.
