United's final game ahead of the winter break was the away trip to Shrewsbury on Friday afternoon.
And first half goals from Jack Ellis and Max Kilsby put the away side in the driving seat in a game where they largely dominated the action.
"It was a fantastic overall performance," youth boss Mark Birch said. "Jack put us ahead when he got on the end of a Charlie Watt free kick, and Max added to it as we dominated the play.
"We could easily have scored more, we created some good chances, and we never really allowed them to get a foothold.
"With the energy we had we saw the game out comfortably and it was a good way to wrap things up ahead of the Christmas break."
