As the countdown clock continues to tick down towards Saturday's season opener against Colchester United the excitement grows as more and more supporters look forward to once again taking their place in the stands and on the terraces following what has been a prolonged period without a 'normal' football fix.
Almost every interview done with the coaching staff and players over recent weeks has led to the subject of just how much it means to the team to have the supporters there with them - cheering every kick and tackle, and celebrating every goal.
It was a pleasure today to welcome supporters pitchside to meet captain Callum Guy and vice-captain Aaron Hayden where they got to hear first-hand just how important it is as part of our build-up to this weekend's Brunton Park return.
Thank you to Liz Appleby, Steve Barker, and Sam and Simon Clarkson who did an excellent job of getting to heart of the matter.
