LONDON BRANCH: Brand new tunnel in place

The Blues have started the 2020/21 season with a new look tunnel area and expandable cover – thanks to CUSC London Branch.

The Carlisle United Supporters' Club London Branch has provided funds to overhaul and upgrade the tunnel area at Brunton Park.

A new expandable tunnel cover has been complemented by the refurbishment of the tunnel. Combined, they give a new vibrant feel to the ground.

This season, the London Branch are sponsoring goalkeepers Marcus Dewhurst, Paul Farman and Magnus Norman with the strap line - In safe hands with the London Branch.

Chair of the London Branch Simon Clarkson said: “The tunnel area is such a focal point in the ground. We felt that to provide funding to help the club improve that area was an excellent initiative.

“For all fans, including our predominantly exiled membership who will follow our home games via streaming or in our virtual matchday pub, they will be able to see the difference it has made.

“I would like to personally thank Carlisle Glass who have been extremely helpful in planning this project and who provided the labour free of charge. This is yet another great example of fans, club and sponsors working together."

Chief executive Nigel Clibbens said: “The long-standing generous support of the London Branch of the Supporters’ Club is there for all to see.

“Even in these tough times they have again helped to make a difference. We are very grateful.”
