The club and Carlisle United Supporters’ Groups (CUSG) are today unveiling a new look for Supporters' Liaison Officer (SLO) Geoff Weston and his team of meeters and greeters.
Following discussion in a recent CUSG meeting, there was a feeling that the SLO visibility could be improved to help fans see and make contact on a match day – and at the same time help protect against the rain!
Dan MacLennan and Matt Spooner from CUSG members TheCumbrians.net volunteered to look into upgrading the garments, and after some discussion with club Vice-President Andrew Dunning from Liberty Work & Leisure Wear - http://www.libertyworkandleisure.co.uk/ - were able to accept a donation of new coats and vests completely free of charge.
A package of five coats for winter and five vests for warmer days are now to be proudly worn by SLO Geoff and his team of meeters and greeters. Highly visible in a mix of luminous yellow and blue complete with associated wording, keep an eye out for the team around Brunton Park on a match day!
CUSG would like to pass on their thanks to Andrew and the team at Liberty for this donation.
This is one of a number of initiatives regarding the SLO and meeters and greeters.
