Our United for Business members enjoyed the company of Chris Beech and John Beresford last Friday night as they came together for an evening of networking and entertainment in Foxy's Restaurant.
United's first team boss was joined by the former-Barnsley, Portsmouth and Newcastle United defender, where they spoke about their playing and coaching days, as well as taking questions from the audience.
Over 100 people were in attendance, which was fantastic to see, with the club being represented by Steven Pattison, Nigel Clibbens and Kevin Dobinson.
Chief executive Nigel Clibbens said: "It was a really good evening, with the numbers who attended heloing to add to what was already a very positive atmosphere.
"The United for Business group has had a number of successful events, and this is right up there with the most enjoyable evenings we've had.
"John [Beresford] had a lot of funny and interesting stories about his time with England and with Kevin Keegan at Newcastle. Obviously the 'I would love it we beat them' titel-challenge season was discussed, and some of his tales about Gazza were amazing.
"Chris [Beech] was very engaging when he talekd about his playing days, and you could tell that people were hanging on every word when he started to talk about the waht he wants to achieve now, and the challenges he faces, here with Carlisle United.
"I'd like to thank all of the United for Business members who attended for helping to make it a very special night. I'd also like to thank Jenny [Anderson] and the commercial team for putting it all together for us."
