CARLISLE RE-United: Looking Good for pledged donations

Things are on the up for the 1974 recording of “Looking Good – We’re Carlisle United.”

CUOSC have asked fans to pledge donations if the disc reaches 3,000 views on YouTube – and it has already passed the 1,300 mark in under a fortnight. But they need you to keep plugging away.

Over £400 has been promised for their Carlisle REUnited campaign if they can hit the target. If you just play or view the record you will be doing your bit – even if you cannot afford to donate.

The record was released by fans Tim Barker and Andy Titcombe to celebrate the Blues winning promotion to the old First Division.

Now CUOSC want to use it to raise funds to help the Blues get through uncertain times when we emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic next season.

Actor Tim recalls: “I was a big Carlisle fan but wasn’t in the country when we got promotion. I was working in the Soviet Union and could not get the football results anywhere.

“My boss had to return home and I told him whatever he did to make sure he brought a newspaper back with the results in. That’s how I found out we had gone up – it was stunning.”

CUOSC are aiming to re-connect, re-focus and re-energise fans and sponsors to make sure we will still have a great club to support.
