First year professional Keighran Kerr has today joined Northern Premier League north west division outfit Kendal Town on-loan until the end of the season.
Kerr, 19, is mobile striker who trained and travelled with the first team towards the end of last season having demonstrated an eye for a goal and an excellent attitude during reserve and local cup fixtures.
The Carlisle born forward joined the club’s academy at under-14 level before progressing through the ranks.
Head coach Chris Beech said: "Keighran is a fantastic lad and he’s been unlucky in the past with a few injuries. He’s got himself fit and we’ve spoken at length about his development.
“He’s quite a way off the first team at the moment, so it’s vital he goes and enjoys his football.
“I’m really pleased Gav [Skelton] has been able to organise this with Kendal, and we’re thankful to Kendal for giving him an opportunity and a platform to go and play football on a Saturday.”
Kendal Town are currently 19th in their league after 21 games and will travel to Trafford on Saturday.
