United host Fleetwood Town in the final game of their Central league Cup group fixtures on Tuesday afternoon.
The game kick offs at 2pm at Frenchfield Park and the Blues head into the fixture needing a victory to top the group and progress to the knockout stages.
Victories against Blackpool and Morecambe have been complemented by a draw with Wigan, but the Cumbrians could still be caught if things don't go their way in this final group outing.
Entrance is £2 for adults and £1 for concessions. Season ticket holders get free entry.
Reserve boss Eric Kinder said: “It could be a more senior side than normal, we’ll have to see what the manager decides to go with, but we will have some of our under-18 lads involved as well.
"We’ve picked up a couple of knocks, Charlie Barnes and Jamie Armstrong haven’t trained today, and Ryan Swailes will be out for another couple of weeks.
“The lads who do get game time know that the manager and his staff will be along to watch, and that the senior players will expect a certain standard. It’s a game we want to win because we go forward to the next stage if we do.
“As we saw against Blackpool these fixtures can produce some good football and good moments, so it’s one we’ll look forward to and we'll certainly go out there to do it properly.”
