OPEN TRAINING SESSION: Our young fans get to meet their heroes

It was fantastic to welcome over a hundred of our Olga’s Army members to Brunton Park on Monday afternoon as part of our half-term ‘Meet the Players’ package.

The children got to see the training session as Steven Pressley and his staff put the lads through a brisk warm-up which was closely followed by passing and shooting drills.

From the training pitch it was up to Foxy’s Restaurant where the full squad attended a question and answer session, with some very interesting questions thrown up by the youngsters.

Some of the teasers posed included Jack Iredale being challenged to start dancing (he dodged that one well), Adam Collin getting asked about the best save he’s ever made (a penalty save against Leeds during his first spell here) and Olufela Olomola was invited to name the best team we’ve played against so far this season [Swindon].

The grilling lasted for just under half an hour before the children lined up for autographs and selfies, with a chance for the young Blues to get up close and personal with their heroes.

Thank you to all of our Olga’s Army members for asking such good questions and for making it a very enjoyable day.

If you would like a hi-res copy of the picture of your child with Adam Collin and Steven Pressley emailed to you, please email media@carlisleunited.co.uk with a description of your child or a screenshot of the relevant picture.
