We are delighted to announce the arrival of a specially commissioned 2019 Poppy Appeal pin badge.
The badge, with the club crest sitting proudly alongside the poppy emblem, has been produced as a limited edition with 500 available in total.
The pin badge is available from the Blues Store and main ticket office now, with a suggested donation of £3.
Blues Store manager Jenny Anderson said: “The pin badge was hugely popular last season and with the sales from it, along with the work done by John Halpin and his community staff in Tesco, plus the launch the of the appeal with the veterans from the Border Regiment, we raised over £13,000 in total for the British Legion.
“We found that many people donated more than the suggested £3, which was absolutely fantastic, and hopefully we’ll see the same response again.
“It is a limited number at 500, and this is an appeal that many of our fans take to their hearts, so we would advise that anyone who wants one comes along as quickly possible, either to the Blues Store or to the ticket office, because we expect them to go quite quickly.”
The Royal British Legion is at the heart of a national network that supports our Armed Forces community through thick and thin, ensuring that their unique contribution is never forgotten.
The Legion is there every step of the way, to help them with immediate needs, keeping families together in their home and ensuring they are not disadvantaged because of their service.
The Legion uses donations to offer support in many ways, including providing crisis grants, researching the impact of blast injuries on the body, influencing the government to make changes on key issues that affect veterans, and advising on benefits and money problems.
Thank you once again for your support of the Poppy Appeal this year.
