Midfielder Taylor Charters has today joined Northern Premier League north west division side Workington AFC on a one-month loan deal.
Workington, managed by former-Blue Danny Grainger, currently top their division having won eight and lost just two of the 14 games they’ve played.
Charters, 18 last month, signed his first professional deal with United in August when he agreed a two-year contract which keeps him at Brunton Park until at least the summer of 2021.
The Whitehaven-born teenager joined the club’s academy at under-9 level and progressed steadily through the ranks to earn a place in the two-year YTS programme just over a year ago.
He has trained regularly with the first team this season and appeared in a number of the July friendlies, with his efforts rewarded with inclusion in the first team match day squad on five occasions during this current campaign.
